NVSC Puts Spotlight on Minimally Invasive Liposuction

SpotlightWATERBURY, Conn. (June 30, 2014) ─ Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center is sponsoring a free program, “Slim Before You Swim: Minimally Invasive Liposuction,” presented by Dr. Prasad Sureddi on Tuesday, July 8th as part of the new “Spotlight on Health” series at NVSC.


Dr. Sureddi, who is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and plastic surgery, will discuss clinically-proven, minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical options for cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body contouring. Dr. Sureddi will discuss advanced options for facial skin resurfacing including Pearl Fusion, which combines superficial and deep ablative skin resurfacing and skin tightening and produces longer lasting results. He will also discuss body and neck contouring procedures using SLIM Lipo, laser-assisted liposuction for fat removal and simultaneous skin tightening.


Dr. Sureddi received his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael and his residency in plastic and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Sureddi completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University and a fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Miami. He served as a microsurgical consultant at the Shriners Hospital for children in Galveston, a pediatric burn hospital. Dr. Sureddi is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Connecticut State Medical Society and the Connecticut Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Established in 1986, Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center was one of the first free-standing surgical centers in the country. Now an outpatient department of Saint Mary’s Hospital, this fully-licensed and accredited ambulatory surgical center includes seven operating rooms, three treatment rooms, a 21-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit and dedicated pediatric recovery room.
