Saint Mary’s Hospital to Hold Public Hearing on July 28

WATERBURY, Conn. (July 23, 2014) ─ Saint Mary’s Hospital will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 28 at 5 p.m.

At the hearing, representatives of Saint Mary’s Hospital and Tenet Healthcare Corporation will present an overview of the proposal to sell substantially all of the assets of Saint Mary’s to Tenet and respond to questions associated with the Certificate of Need determination letter and the proposed transfer of assets. Pursuant to state statute, the letter was filed with the Attorney General and the state’s Office of Healthcare Access (OHCA). Members of the public also will be given an opportunity to speak.

The hearing will be held in the Saint Mary’s Hospital Auditorium located on the second floor of the Medical-Dental Conference Center. The hearing is open to the public. Free parking will be available in the hospital’s parking garage on South Elm Street, directly across from the entrance to Sacred Heart High School.
