8th Annual Dorothy Hamill Women Fore Women Golf Tournament
WATERBURY, Conn. (April 2, 2015) ─ Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation will
host the 8th annual Dorothy Hamill Women Fore Women Golf Tournament on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Country Club of Waterbury. The Foundation is honored to have Olympic Gold Medalist Dorothy Hamill as Honorary Chairperson of this event. The event co-chairs are Emily Anderson and Sandy Vigliotti Senich, both of Woodbury. The co-chairs for the evening reception are Mauria Jacobi of Woodbury and Kathy McPadden of Naugatuck.
Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Breast Screening Fund at Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation, which provides free screening mammograms and other breast screening procedures to women in Greater Waterbury who would otherwise not have access to care. Since the fund’s inception, more than $300,000 has been raised and hundreds of breast screenings have been provided to women in the Greater Waterbury community.
New this year, the tournament will have only one flight, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament will feature a scramble format for golfers of all levels and includes lunch and an evening reception with Hamill. There will be a hole-in-one contest, raffle items and awards. Registration will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch. The fee is $200 per person.
Non-golfers can join in the fun by attending the evening reception beginning at 5 p.m. at the Country Club of Waterbury. The reception includes raffle items, food stations, beer and wine. Casual attire is recommended. Tickets for the evening reception only are $100 per person.
