Saint Mary’s Hospital Honored with Award for New Website

WATERBURY, Conn. (February 19, 2015) ─ Saint Mary’s Hospital was selected as a winner in the 16th annual Web Health Awards(SM) program. This biannual competition recognizes the nation’s best digital health resources.

Saint Mary’s Hospital received a Silver Award in the category of Responsive Website.  The team responsible for the production and design of the website was led by Joe Connolly, Vice President, Community Affairs, and Chief Marketing Officer, and Barbara White, Marketing Manager, and included staff members Shanan Haislip, Digital Media Coordinator; Jennifer Clement, Corporate Communications Specialist; Joanne Keeler, Web Designer, IT; Judy Tourangeau and Patti Spillane, Graphic Designers.

“We were delighted to participate in the 2014 Web Health Awards competition, and were honored to be selected as a winner,” Connolly said. “Our winning entry was chosen from nearly 400 entries judged by a panel of distinguished experts in digital health media.”

Other healthcare organizations honored with Web Health Awards for 2014 Summer/Fall included: AARP, the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Red Cross, Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Mayo Clinic, McKesson and UnitedHealthcare.

The Web Health Awards(SM) program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center(SM) (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields.
