Saint Mary’s Physician Named Vice President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine
WATERBURY, Conn. (June 5, 2015) ─ Mark L. Kraus, MD, FASAM, DABAM, was recently installed as the Vice President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Kraus is a general internist and specialist in addiction medicine with Franklin Medical Group, an affiliate of Saint Mary’s Health System, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) is a professional society representing over 3500 physicians and associated professionals dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment; educating physicians, other medical professionals and the public; supporting research and prevention; and promoting the appropriate role of
physicians in the care of patients with addiction.
