Free Blood Pressure Screenings Offered in Celebration of American Heart Month

WATERBURY, Conn. (January 27, 2016) ─ Saint Mary’s Hospital is offering free blood pressure screenings on Friday, February 5 from 11 am to 1 pm. The screenings will be offered in the hospital’s Main Lobby, located at 56 Franklin Street, by nurses from Saint Mary’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, Stroke Department and the Heart Center of Greater Waterbury. No appointment is necessary.

Saint Mary’s physicians, nurses, administrators and staff will be participating in the American Heart Association’s national Wear Red Day® on February 5 to raise awareness about heart disease. Throughout February, which is American Heart Month, Saint Mary’s will further support the American Heart Association by “glowing red” for women. Look for the red lights across the front of the hospital, which will glow to raise community awareness about the leading killers of women – heart disease and stroke.
