Saint Mary’s Spirit of Women Network Sponsors Sparkle 2016!

Popular Women’s Health Event is Back and Better Than Ever

WATERBURY, Conn. (April 20, 2016) ─ It’s back and better than ever! Saint Mary’s Spirit of Women network is pleased to announce Sparkle 2016 will be held on Wednesday, May 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. This event is designed for women of all ages to promote a healthy mind, body and spirit.

“This is a ladies’ night out, but it’s more than that,” said Barbara White, Marketing Manager at Saint Mary’s Hospital. “As women, we dedicate ourselves to taking care of our parents, our spouses, our children, our homes and careers. We work; we volunteer our time in the community. Sparkle is about taking time to invest in what we need to live healthier, feel better and shine from the inside out.”

Saint Mary’s is the state’s only Spirit of Women member hospital and its participant network has grown to more than 1,200 women since its inaugural women’s health event, Sparkle 2015.  This year’s Sparkle event again offers a full range of health-related and community resource vendors. Guests can find solutions to their skin care, stress-reduction, fitness and nutrition needs—and more.  There will be complimentary chair or hand massages and women can indulge in delightful sweet treats while spending some one-on-one time with community physicians, who will be available to answer health questions during “Dessert with the Docs.”

Admission is $10 and includes a buffet dinner and dessert. Pre-registration is requested. Register at stmh.org or call (203) 709-3312.
