Saint Mary’s Hospital Sponsors “Pajama Storytime with the Players”

Post University Men’s Basketball Team to Visit Pond Place Pediatrics

WATERBURY, Conn. (December 12, 2016)
─ The Post University Men’s Basketball Team will be showing their holiday spirit by visiting Pond Place Pediatrics on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 6 to 7pm for a very special story hour.

pajama storytime with the players graphicTeam members will be reading to patients and children of all ages, who are invited to attend the event in their pajamas. The team also will join Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation in donating new children’s books to the pediatric practice, which is located at 166 Waterbury Road in Prospect.

“Our job as a college basketball program is do more than just play games,” said Marc Kuntz, Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Post University. “We have an opportunity to impact young people by spending time and reading with them. Especially in the spirit of giving with it being the holidays, this is a small way to help others.”

Saint May’s Hospital Foundation is proud to partner with Post University to promote literacy in our community,” said Carrie Fuller, Executive Director of the foundation. “We are reminded even more this time of year, the season of giving, about the importance of working together to benefit others. We’re thrilled that Post University reached out to us with an interest in this endeavor.”
