Saint Mary’s Hospital Supports Connecticut Asthma Initiative

WATERBURY, Conn. (February 19) ─ The Connecticut Hospital Association has launched a new Connecticut Asthma Initiative with the vision that “no one should die of asthma or be required to limit his or her life unnecessarily due to the disease.”

As part of this quality improvement initiative, CHA is establishing hospital-community partnerships that will strategize, plan and facilitate the implementation of interventions to improve asthma care and outcomes for specific communities.

Saint Mary’s Hospital was represented at the December launch of the program by Stuart Hirsch, Director of Operations, Department of Emergency Services, Robin Cracco, RN, Nurse Navigator, and Anne Crouse, RN, Emergency Department. The initiative includes a website with online resources for parents, patients, clinicians and communities. Find it at
