WATERBURY, Conn. (April 11, 2016) ─ Saint Mary’s Hospital is sponsoring “Spring into Action,” a free program on the prevention and treatment of spring sports injuries, on Thursday, April 28 in the hospital's Conference Center. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 6 p.m.

Dennis Rodin, MD, Section Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital and a partner at Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates, will offer tips to help you ease into a spring sports routine, along with advice on what to do if you overdo it. Knee and shoulder injuries can easily occur when people adopt new fitness routines or even just spend the weekend sprucing up the house or cleaning up the yard. Dr. Rodin will discuss the full range of treatment options available, including surgical and non-surgical solutions to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This program is free and open to the public. Parking is free. Pre-registration is required by April 25. To register, go to stmh.org or call (203) 709-3312.
