Michael S. Ajemian, MD, FACS is a general surgeon with a strong interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat reflux disease (GERD) as well as laparoscopic colectomy, gallbladder and bile duct surgery and hernia repair.
Dr. Ajemian received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School of the Medical College of Hampton Roads. He completed his residency in general surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and fellowship in surgical critical care at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
Dr. Ajemian currently serves as Director of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital and Associate Program Director of the hospital’s surgical residency program. He also is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Stanley J. Dudrick, MD, FACS is a general surgeon specializing in surgical nutrition, malnutrition, reoperative surgery and complex surgical procedures. Areas of interest also include short gut syndrome, colitis, Crohn’s disease, fistulas, recurrent bowel obstructions and hernias, and anal/rectal disorders.
Dr. Dudrick received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a surgical nutrition and metabolism fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Dudrick has garnered international recognition for his pioneering research leading to the development of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), which is widely used to provide life-saving nutrients to patients who are unable to eat due to surgery or certain illnesses.
Dr. Dudrick currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital and Director, Program in Surgery. He is also Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine.
J. Alexander Palesty, MD is a surgical oncologist and general surgeon. He specializes in the surgical management of cancer of the esophagus, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, bile duct cancer and skin cancer as well as colorectal diseases.
Dr. Palesty received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his residency in general surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital, a research fellowship in plastic surgery at Yale University and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Palesty is a former member of the medical staff at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, in the Department of Surgical Oncology. He currently serves as Assistant Director, Program in Surgery and Surgical Director of Clinical Cancer Research at Saint Mary’s and as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
