About Us

The Department of Infectious Diseases is a division of the Department of Medicine at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Its primary function is the diagnosis and treatment of infections for all patients admitted to the hospital as well as those seeking outpatient care. Our specialists are responsible for the control of infections within the hospital and coordinate the control of infections within the community with other agencies such as the Department of Public Health. We provide care for patients with HIV and AIDS and we serve as in important educational resource for attending physicians, residents, interns, community physicians and municipal agencies.
