As a Laboratory professional at Saint Mary’s, you influence the reliability and credibility of laboratory data as well as the accuracy of patient diagnoses and the quality of care that patients receive.
- Certified Medical Technologists
Our Medical Technologists can become generalists or specialize in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, and UA/Coagulation.
To qualify for a Medical Technologist, you will need a BS in Medical Technology or related degree such as Biology, and be certified by an accredited agency such as ASCP/NCA or AMT.
Our Phlebotomists collect blood samples and perform point of care testing throughout the hospital in our Emergency Department and In Patient units as well as perform a variety of support services in the Laboratory.
To qualify for a Phlebotomist, you will need to have a High School Diploma or Equivalency and be certified in Phlebotomy by an accredited agency.
