About Dr. Malinics
Dr. Michael Malinics is a native of Pennsylvania where he received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT in 1989 and his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center in 1992.
He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Certified Cardiovascular Device Specialist by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
Dr. Malinics has been involved in cardiac devices for over 20 years and was instrumental in starting the first implantation and follow up of implantable cardiac defibrillators in the Waterbury area. He also has special interest in congestive heart failure and the use of cardiac devices for this special population of cardiac patients.
Dr. Malinics is certified by the National Board of Echocardiography in adult transthoracic echocardiography.
Dr. Malinics is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Connecticut State Medical Society and the AMA.
