Michael C. Matzkin, DDS, Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Saint Mary’s Hospital, is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He completed his internship at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, his post-graduate didactic at Boston University School of General Dentistry and his residency at Harlem Hospital Medical Center in New York. He is a former president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Board-certified by the American Board of Oral Surgery, Dr. Matzkin is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and as a section editor since 1993. He has served as president of the medical staff at Saint Mary’s Hospital since 1995.

Rools L. Dessieux, DDS,

Dr Dessieux is a graduate of University of Florida and attended MeHarry Medical College in Nashville, TN.  He completed a general practice residency at St. Mary’s Hospital followed by a Hospital Dentistry residency at Waterbury Hospital.  He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Training at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Dessieux practices the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
