The Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation has named Chris Geraghty of Southbury and Mary Wiatr of Woodbury as co-chairs of “Women Fore Women” a golf tournament to benefit the Mammography Fund at Saint Mary’s Hospital.

The tournament will be held Monday, June 8, 2009, at The Golf Club of Waterbury. The fee to participate is $150 per golfer, which will provide free mammograms for two women who would otherwise be unable to afford this potentially life-saving screening. The fee includes lunch at noon, followed by a shotgun start. Golfers of all levels are invited to participate but registration is limited. The day will conclude with a cocktail reception and awards presentation.

Chris Geraghty is a faculty member at Naugatuck Valley Community College in the Arts and Humanities Department. She is an avid golfer and former chairperson of the 18-hold golf group at the Country Club of Waterbury. She and her husband, Jim Geraghty of Webster Bank, have two children.

Mary Wiatr is a marketing executive with Deloitte & Touche. She is an avid golfer and member of the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association. She and her husband, Fran, live in Woodbury with their two children.
