In 2007, 61 children of Saint Mary’s staff participated in “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day,” an event that included presentations by Campion Ambulance and the Waterbury Fire Department and Rescue Team.
Saint Mary’s staff and medical staff are engaged in mentoring individuals throughout the community. They participate in job fairs, speak at area high schools, work with Girl Scout troops, offer job shadowing opportunities and participate in national “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day,” all in an effort to inspire young people to careers in nursing and healthcare.
